Compassion International

What motivates a Christian to fight against poverty?

Wess Stafford a President and CEO of Compassion International and an advocate for children. Stafford is the author of two books, Too Small to Ignore and Just a Minute as well as the host of the daily national radio feature, Speak Up With Compassion®.

Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy charity that releases children from  economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled adults.

Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1.5 million children in 26 countries through the support of sponsors and donors in 13 partner countries.
