Different Interpretations of the Bible

Which version of the Bible is best?

brown leather bag on gray tableIf you were to visit ‘Bible Gateway,’ an online Bible resource, you would be able to read 40 or more different English versions of the Bible alone. This does not include other versions in other languages.

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek with some Aramaic, but today it has been translated - either all or parts of it - into over 700 different languages.

The most popular web application for the Bible is called 'You Version.' This has already had over 100 million downloads and is available on phones, iPods and other portable devices.

So, which version of the Bible is best?

There isn't one, simple, answer to this question. All versions of the Bible are very similar, based on the same ancient text. There may be slight differences in the interpretation of some words, with study Bibles having lengthy explanations on their pages.

Christians choose the version which suits them, so they may, as individuals, say which is the best for them. Ultimately, it's all down to personal preference.
