Many Christians believe that the cosmological argument provides evidence of God’s existence. The arguments put forward by Thomas Aquinas support their belief that God created the world. Additionally, the cosmological argument also shows them what God is like.
God’s Nature
Christians believe the cosmological argument reveals that:
- God is omnipotent: He is all-powerful, as he caused the world into being.
- God is benevolent: He caused the world into being with love, creating a perfect environment for humans to live in.
- God is transcendent: He can be seen in creation, but because of his greatness, he can never fully be known or understood by humans.
