How do Christians use the Bible?

'All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.' This statement is part of Paul's teaching to a young Christian leader called Timothy and can be found in 2 Timothy 3:16. Christians believe that this is a key passage in shaping how they see the Bible.

Christians read the Bible for guidance and encouragement because it speaks about every situation in life. They believe that it is 'God's Word' and that God speaks to people through it.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Psalm 119: 105)

It is viewed as the story of God from the beginning of time but is also considered to be a 'Living Word'. The film explores in more depth how Christians interpret these verses and how they view the Bible as a whole.
