What do Visions Show About the Nature of God?

The main thing to grasp is that Christians believe visions reveal God's nature to people, helping them to know what God is like, along with understanding the things he cares about.

They believe that the things they already know about him, such as his character, are supported through the evidence of visions. These include:

  • Omnipotence: God's great power is shown through the visions he causes to happen.
  • Omniscience: God knows everything, he can communicate in many different languages and ways to people.
  • Omnipresence: God is everywhere, proven by visions that have occurred in different parts of the world.
  • Benevolence: God loves everyone, which is shown by the fact that he chooses to communicate with people, showing his love to all who encounter him.
  • Immanence: He is God, all-powerful and all-knowing, but he is also a God who cares for people. This is what visions show; he wants to have relationship with people.
