Serving the Local Community
The Message Trust
Many churches choose to serve the communities in which they are based. Some even set up full-time ministries.
One example of this is the Message Trust in Manchester, which was set up by Andy Hawthorne in the late 1980s. He felt a call to share the gospel with people across the city, through action and words.
Today, the Message Trust works in communities across the UK and the wider world helping people in impoverished circumstances; teaching them about Jesus Christ.
