What Does the Design Argument Show About the Nature of God?

Many Christians believe that the design argument provides evidence of God's existence and shows them what God is like. Additionally, it strengthens their faith.

The Bible states that God can be known through looking at creation, which supports this belief.

'Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities, both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made. So those people have no excuse at all!' Romans 1:20

God's Nature

Christians believe the design argument, reveals that:

  • God is omnipotent: He is all-powerful, as he created the world, one that supports human life perfectly.
  • God is omnipresent: He is everywhere, throughout creation.
  • God is benevolent: He designed the perfect environment for humans to live in.
  • God is transcendent: He can be seen in creation, but because of his greatness, he can never fully be known or understood by humans.
