A building or a group of believers?
The question 'What is church?' may not seem like a big question. After all, we see churches in every town and city in the country. But the Bible only ever talks about one church, The Church. So which church is The Church? And is the Church more than just a building?
When we talk about a church (lower case 'c') we are talking about a church building. When we talk about The Church (upper case 'C') we are talking about the body of Christ, that is all believers across the world.
